Rotem Katz is a screenwriter, a filmmaker and an Artist. He graduated with honors from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, and also holds a master’s degree in education from Levinsky College, earned with distinction.
His first short film, Tom, created during his studies, premiered at the Energa Camerimage Film Festival and was screened at numerous festivals in Israel and abroad, including the Jerusalem Film Festival.
His graduation film, Pardes, won the Audience Award in the International Competition of the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival, and had its world premiere at the prestigious Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival. Both films were acquired for broadcast in East Asia.
Rotem has also contributed to the creation of several Israeli music videos, including Lamidbar by Dana Ivgy, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and has directed music videos himself, among them Lishon Be’amida by Full Trunk.
He is currently in pre-production for his upcoming short film Zussman, and in the final stages of writing his debut feature film, Flesh.
